Stranger from abroad...

Hannah Arendt, Martin Heidegger, Friendship and Forgiveness, Daniel Maier-Katkin.  Reminded me why I admired Hannah Arendt so much thirty years ago.  She remained both honest and humane while losing none of her mental rigorousness.  Makes me long for the days when we had public intellectuals, rather than ideological spewers, on both the left and right. 

Some things never change...

Once again I find myself looking for my socks.  On another note, I have been watching the great Jacques Tati as M. Hulot courtesy of Netflix.  Some humor is sublime.
